In the late 80's people in Hong Kong are so concern about Hong Kong returning to China.

However, today, if you set foot in ShenZhen, you might think that you are in Hong Kong.

The cost of living in ShengZhen is almost same with Hong Kong. Certain items may be even more costly.

When I was living in Hong Kong in the late 80's.

People were so concern that the return of Hong Kong to Mainland China means the night lives & neon sign would be gone.

However, today after 9 years of returning , neon & night lives are still everywhere in Hong Kong.

Shengzhen is just like Hong Kong at night today!!
